Nelson L. Bernardo, MD, specializes in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Bernardo is the medical director of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory at MedStar Heart Institute. He is also the director for Peripheral Intervention at the Cardiovascular Research Institute at MedStar Research Institute. He is also the co-chair for cardiac peripheral vascular diseases.

In addition, Dr. Bernardo serves as an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiology at the Medical College of Virginia campus of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.

Dr. Bernardo publishes extensively in his field. He lectures frequently at meetings and conferences, both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Bernardo was the clinical investigator or co-investigator in dozens of trials in the field of cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He is currently involved in a number of ongoing trials and clinical studies.

Dr. Bernardo is involved in peer review for numerous publications, including Angiology and Journal of Invasive Cardiology.

Dr. Policarpio is a Family Practitioner at Kaiser Permanente, Woodbridge, VA

She is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas. She did her family practice residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

She is a champion for osteoporosis, pediatric vaccinations, smoking cessation, other quality measures and physician well being.

She has been voted Top Doctor, Northern Virginia Magazine, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2021 and by  Washington Magazine, 2018, 2019

Rosemarie Filart

Dr. Rosemarie Filart, MD MPH, is an Integrative Rehabilitation and Functional Medicine Specialist who has been a physician for over 20 years.  Dr. Filart’s approach is non-narcotic, personalized, and whole person view towards increasing function for conditions such as pain, hypermobility, concussion and Long COVID. She also performs minimally invasive treatments such as ultrasound guided injections for nerves, soft tissues and joints; acupuncture; microcurrent/electrical stimulation; orthobiologics; botulinum toxin injections; and headache & migraine nerve injections. At the Atlantic Wellness & Integrative Specialty Health Clinic (www.AtlanticWISHClinic.com), Dr. Filart’s patient-centered approach also incorporates important lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, stress management, exercise/ activity, and behavioral health.

To deepen community and science contributions, she has lectured, published in scientific journals and chapters in books. She volunteers for the American Red Cross and provided care at local charity health clinics and international medical missions.

Dr. Erwin Puente, is a Retina specialist working in the Maryland and Northern Virginia area.  I was born in Quezon City, but grew up in Delaware and went to medical school at Washington University in St Louis. I am married with 3 children (ages 11, 9, and 5)

Dr. Xavier Kee MD is a Family medicine practitioner in Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia. Main area of service is at the Kaiser Camp Springs Medical Center. Dr. Kee was born in Balagtas, Bulacan and grew up in Pasay City. He did his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of the Philippines- Diliman. Dr. Kee received his medical degree from. St. Luke’s College of Medicine. He did his family medicine residency at the United Hospital Center-WVU in Bridgeport, West Virginia

He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Howard university
And Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Howard University.
He was Medical Director of the Adams Morgan clinic in Washington , DC
Retired from full time practice in 2001 but did part time volunteer work as an internist at the Washington Free clinic .
He also worked as a Part time locum tenens as an internist for 9 years at the Spirit lake nation Indian Health Service in Ft. Totten , North Dakota.

He was past President of PMA MWDC in 1981

Joseph M. Arzadon

Oral and maxillofacial and facial cosmetic surgeon in private practice in Northern Virginia.  Born in Moncada, Tarlac and grew up in Alexandria attending elementary school to college locally.  Graduated from University of Maryland Dental School, University of Connecticut Medical School, general surgery internship and surgical specialty training at University of Connecticut Health Center.  Board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.  President of charity medical mission group MMOMUSA and immediate past president of PMA-MWDC.  Married to a loving wife with 3 children, 2 dogs, cat and many koi fish.  Enjoys fishing, boating, gardening, yard work, and medical missions.

Dr. Azardon was the President of the PMA MWDC in 2017 and 2019

Elwin Bustos

Dr. Elwin G. Bustos MD is a nephrologist in Washington, DC and is affiliated with Medstar Washington Center, Providence Hospital and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of the East College of Medicine. He did his Internal Medicine residency in Flushing Hospital Medical Center and Nephrology Fellowship training in Georgetown University Hospital. He has been in practice for 30 years. He was past president of PMA MWDC in 2009.
